  the remarkable sister pettifog.

  this morning i arrived on my bicycle at the local starbucks early, before the intensity of the texas sun boiled to full blaze rendering me a soggy, wrung out mess.. i took up my perch on the outdoor patio in the shade, eager to work on my book of short stories.

  this will be my 3rd book and i’ve been enjoying the process daily.. .

  yes, that is what a witness said after the police shootings and terrible aftermath of violence occurred this week in the usa..... they said that it now gives them a chance to live forever...as if they would not have had that opportunity if they had not been tragically killed..... of course according to witness teachings, the contradictory thing is that if the big a had come a day before, then those same people would have been killed by jehovah because they were not his worshipers.....

  a couple weeks back my husband got a phone call from his brother, whom he hasn’t spoken to in nearly 17 years.

  well i take that back, he did speak to him at the family reunion, asking him to leave.

  my husband basically told him to f off, he would leave when he’s darn good and ready, but he didn’t use the word darn.

  "Recently, however, it is common for the upside-down cross to be used as a symbol of atheism, humanism, and the occult. Several black metal bands use an inverted cross to call attention to their supposed devotion to Satan. Upside-down crosses appear in horror movies such as The Omen and The Conjuring as a signal of demonic activity. The symbol crops up in tattoos, on pendants, and as a logo on t-shirts.   So, what is the meaning of an upside-down cross? It depends on the context. When the symbol is used in a church setting, it is most likely a reference to Peter and the manner of his death. In other contexts the inverted cross is often an anti-Christian symbol.   Helped with fathers funeral, helped with arranging care for my mother - then SHUNNED again!!

  well i have not been on this site for ages - so long that i had forgotten my username etc and have had to start again!.

  anyway briefly - bought up in 'the truth', baptised at 18, married at 21, had kids, got divorced, remarried, disfellowshipped 15 years ago.. parents and brother shun me.. early last year father very ill, calls me.

  i arrange to visit him in hospital.

  Well, they used you for "necessary business", that being; getting your contribution to caring for your mum and input as someone who obviously can work with worldly people to get her situated. Then of course, you're no longer necessary for business. Fools. Good to see you back.

  i've been the only one in my family who is baptized until 15 years later when my mother got baptized.

  Three lives will be ruined if you do not put them first. If you can keep them and your husband all the better, you love the man. You already are preparing to leave, this says something about your turmoil and pragmatism. Good for you. You were never a JW if you were not baptized, that's the game. Play the card before divorce, let them have the world in increments as he reacts you will know where you stand. Give him the benefit of the doubt but keep your options open.

  How do you deal with depression?

  i'm currently going through a bout of depression and my eating disorder has gotten worse.

  ever since my parents actually told me that they are going to kick me out when i turn 18 i've felt kind of hopeless about my life.

  my parents won't take me to the doctor because the psychiatrists won't have my "best interests" aka jw crap in mind, because really that's the root of all my problems.. i'm wondering if any of you guys have any advice with dealing with depression?

  DO NOT SAY YOU ARE SUICIDAL IF YOU ARE NOT! Did you hear that? You do not want to open that door if its not true. You will open yourself to a 72 hour hold in some cases and a start of a file documenting your being unbalanced by the county/gov mental health system. If you are suicidal then call a hotline and get help. By all means speak up. Take a breath about all this and let it play out. From what I have read you are not going to panic. No matter what, when you are 18 you will be somewhere. You can't help but be somewhere. If you stay positive something will open for you. All the best!
